The week we all have been waiting for is HERE!!
We kick off our musical week by celebrating Music Monday tomorrow, Monday, May 2nd. Music Monday celebrates the importance of having music in our schools and communities. We fully support this task and think back to last year when our school was able to be participants in the live webcast from the National Music Centre downtown! Visit www.musicmonday.ca to watch the live feeds and sing with the nation at 11am! We're planning to have our assembly out on the back compound. If you are in the neighbourhood, come join us!

Folks, be prepared to be blown away! Our kids have been working SO HARD and we are SO READY to share Cranston School's production of "Annie Kids" with you.
Amazingly, our afternoon shows have SOLD OUT!! There may still be some tickets left for the evening shows. If you are interested, please contact the main office.
The principal cast of "Annie Kids" will deliver all SIX shows beginning Tuesday at 1:30 & 6:30pm with the support of the Hope Wing Chorus. Wednesday they will be supported by the Harmony Wing Chorus, as well as the Grade 1/2 Rumpel, Grummett & Weldrick triad. Thursday our final shows will be supported by the Peace Wing Chorus.
A memo was sent home regarding Video and Photography during the show. I can confirm that there is NO VIDEO recording permitted, but upon further investigation YOU ARE PERMITTED to take NON-FLASH PHOTOS. Please be respectful of your seat neighbours as well as the students on stage who are working hard to deliver their best performances.
I am SO EXCITED and cannot wait for you all to see just what your kids can do. This has taken an INCREDIBLE amount of work from not only myself and the kids, but the entire Cranston Staff! Everyone has been involved in some way or another and I could not be happier with our final results.
See you all this week!!!
Love,
Mrs. McBride
Note for the actors from the costume team with regards to make-up.
Remembering these are just little kids, it is not necessary. However, if you wish, please send your student wearing brown / black eyeliner, a little mascara, blush on cheeks and a little lip gloss / stick. Be sensitive to the role your student has - ie - the Orphans obviously should not wear lipstick :)
Thank you!
